KULEANA
How do we change course before it's too late?
A cinematic journey into Hawai'i's plastic crisis — through the eyes of the athletes fighting to save it.
Through the prism of sport, KULEANA will take you on a cinematic journey into the plastic pollution crisis engulfing one of the world's most ecologically and spiritually powerful places: Hawai, now on the frontline of a global emergency.
Narrated by Woody Harrelson and told through the eyes of elite athletes including surf legends, freedivers, and baseball stars, KULEANA harnesses the universal language of sport to uncover shocking new science from leading oceanographers, revealing the invisible impact of microplastics.
Filmmaker and community lead Finn Crouch will be in attendance to introduce the film, take part in an audience Q&A following the screening, and connect with guests at the reception afterward.
